For over 100 years, Congregation Beth Emeth has been, and continues to be, an important center to the Jewish community of Delaware and the surrounding area. We are a Reform Congregation whose mission is to enrich the lives of our members and our community by teaching, learning, and rejoicing in our Jewish ideals and traditions.

Since May 14th is the secular anniversary of Israel’s birth sixty years ago, I thought the words of those who visited Israel a few weeks ago would speak volumes. So here are some comments:

Summer Torah Study: The Book of Psalms Beginning on June 28th, you're invited to the informal Psalms study each Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am in the cafe section of Borders on Route 202, Wilmington. The first person to arrive each Saturday should "corral" the comfortable couch and chairs in the cafe. For additional information, please contact Sybil Schwartz or Alan Dallas. Please consider joining our regular class when we resume in September. It’s been ongoing for over 30 years with the most interesting people participating in our discussions.

Dinner @ 7:00, Service @ 8:00...Join in on a teen-led service, and sophisticate your palate! Bring one international dairy dish that will feed 10 people. RSVP with dish by Sept 10. No RSVP needed for service, of course!

We are open during Religious and Hebrew school days, Sundays 9:00 AM until noon and Wednesdays 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM and by appointment.
