Eliana grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where their home congregation is Temple Bat Yam. While they originally imagined that they would train horses and feed goats for a living, they discovered their love for Jewish Education in college and have never looked back. Eliana credits their love of Jewish learning to Temple Bat Yam's uniquely warm and intellectually curious community and the influence of Rabbi Lewis Littman, z"l.
In 2008, Eliana earned a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. They have since worked in Jewish Education in Los Angeles and New York, and most recently as the Director of Education at Greenwich Reform Synagogue in Greenwich, Connecticut. They now live in Wilmington with their husband, Meir, and son, Alex, and two cats who have developed a true love of hearing the Friday night Kiddush sung and the nibbles of challah that come with the singing.
